 Today's Thought:

“If the world hates you, know that it has hated me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love you as its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.” Indeed, all who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted. In this you rejoice, though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been grieved by various trials, so that the tested genuineness of your faith—more precious than gold that perishes though it is tested by fire—may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ. Though you have not seen him, you love him. Though you do not now see him, you believe in him and rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory, obtaining the outcome of your faith, the salvation of your souls. Just as we have borne the image of the man of dust, we shall also bear the image of the man of heaven. For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. But we have this treasure in jars of clay, to show that the surpassing power belongs to God and not to us. And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ. Not that we are sufficient in ourselves to claim anything as coming from us, but our sufficiency is from God, for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure.
