The LORD is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth. Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving...do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God. Pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. (Psa 145:18; Col 4:2; Php 4:6-7; Col 3:2; Heb 12:2; 1Thes 5:17-18)
