Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief. Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour; That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life. (1Tim 1:15; Isa 53:4-5; Titus 3:4-7)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light. Then spake Jesus.., saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. (Isa 60:1; John 1:14, 4; 2Cor 4:6; 1John 1:5; Eph 5:14; John 8:12)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

Praise ye the LORD. Praise the LORD, O my soul. While I live will I praise the LORD: I will sing praises unto my God while I have any being. For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace. Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. (Psa 146:1-2; 2Cor 4:6; John 1:14, 16; Rom 5:1-2)

Today's Thought

Today's Thought:

In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. As for me, I will behold thy face in righteousness: I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with thy likeness. (1John 4:9-10; John 1:10-13; 1John 3:1-2; Psa 17:15)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

But if any man love God, the same is known of him. For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity. The LORD is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him. The LORD is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy. The LORD is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works. All thy works shall praise thee, O LORD; and thy saints shall bless thee. (1Cor 8:3; Rom 8:29; 2Tim 2:19; Nahum 1:7; Psa 145:8-10)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. In my Father's house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also.” For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord. If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. (John 14:1-3; 1Thes 4:16-17; Col 3:1-2)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

Thus says God, the LORD, who created the heavens and stretched them out, who spread out the earth and what comes from it, who gives breath to the people on it and spirit to those who walk in it: “I am the LORD; I have called you in righteousness; I will take you by the hand and keep you; I will give you as a covenant for the people, a light for the nations.” Yours, O LORD, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty, for all that is in the heavens and in the earth is yours. Yours is the kingdom, O LORD, and you are exalted as head above all. Both riches and honor come from you, and you rule over all. In your hand are power and might, and in your hand it is to make great and to give strength to all. In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. Jesus said.., “My food is to do the will of him who sent me and to accomplish his work. (Isa 42:5-6; 1Chron 29:11-12; 1John 4:9; John 4:34)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork. For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse. Long ago, at many times and in many ways, God spoke to our fathers by the prophets, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed the heir of all things, through whom also he created the world. He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power. After making purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high...All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life, and the life was the light of men. (Psa 19:1; Rom 1:20; Heb 1:1-3; John 1:3-4)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

Praise the LORD! Praise, O servants of the LORD, praise the name of the LORD! Blessed be the name of the LORD from this time forth and forevermore! To this end we always pray for you, that our God may make you worthy of his calling and may fulfill every resolve for good and every work of faith by his power, so that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and you in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ...so that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them. Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen. (Psa 113:1-2; 2Thes 1:11-12; Eph 2:7-10, 3:20-21)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

The LORD is my chosen portion and my cup; you hold my lot. The lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; indeed, I have a beautiful inheritance. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you, who by God's power are being guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. But, as it is written, “What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him.” Oh, how abundant is your goodness, which you have stored up for those who fear you and worked for those who take refuge in you, in the sight of the children of mankind! (Psa 16:5-6; 1Pet 1:3-5; 1Cor 2:9; Psa 31:19)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things? Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth. Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins. (John 3:16-17; Rom 8:32-34; 1Cor 2:12; Col 1:13-14)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time. So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Let your speech be alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man. (Mat 5:16; Eph 5:8; 1Tim 2:3-6; Rom 10:17; Col 4:6)

Today's Thought

Today's Thought:

I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called. Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you, Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God. Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen. (Eph 4:1; 1Pet 1:18-21; Heb 13:20-21)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, “Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee: And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are. And now come I to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they might have my joy fulfilled in themselves. I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.” The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. (John 17:1, 11, 13, 15; Psa 37:23-24; 1Pet 1:3-5)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

Praise the LORD; for the LORD is good: sing praises unto his name; for it is pleasant. Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ; Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory. Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen. (Psa 135:3; Eph 5:19-20; 1Pet 1:8; Jude 1:24-25)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things? And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth. For from his fullness we have all received, grace upon grace. Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift. (1John 4:9-10; Rom 6:23, 8:32; John 1:14, 16; 2Cor 9:15)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

The LORD reigneth; let the earth rejoice; let the multitude of isles be glad thereof. The heavens declare his righteousness, and all the people see his glory. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day. (Psa 97: 1, 6; John 1:14; Php 2:6-11; 2Thes 1:10)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

I will praise thee, O LORD, with my whole heart; I will shew forth all thy marvellous works. I will be glad and rejoice in thee: I will sing praise to thy name, O thou most High. When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained; What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him? For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him. (Psa 9:1-2, 8:3-4; 1Thes 5:9-10; 1John 3:1-2)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand. Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain. And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible. As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith. This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men. My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth. And hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before him. (Php 4:5; 1Cor 9:24-25; Gal 6:10; Titus 3:8; 1John 3:18-19)

Today's Thought

Today's Thought:

For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. Just as we have borne the image of the man of dust, we shall also bear the image of the man of heaven. And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit. And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ, for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure. Beloved, we are God's children now, and what we will be has not yet appeared; but we know that when he appears we shall be like him, because we shall see him as he is. (Rom 8:29; 1Cor 15:49; 2Cor 3:18; Php 1:6, 2:13; 1John 3:2)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

I say to the LORD, “You are my Lord; I have no good apart from you.” For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death. For God has done what the law, weakened by the flesh, could not do. By sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, he condemned sin in the flesh, in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. “Blessed are those whose lawless deeds are forgiven, and whose sins are covered; blessed is the man against whom the Lord will not count his sin.” (Psa 16:2; 2Cor 5:21; Rom 8:1-4, 4:7-8)
