Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding. For wisdom is a defence, and money is a defence: but the excellency of knowledge is, that wisdom giveth life to them that have it. If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous: he is a buckler to them that walk uprightly. He keepeth the paths of judgment, and preserveth the way of his saints. God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord. In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
