But he said.., “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Not that we are sufficient in ourselves to claim anything as coming from us, but our sufficiency is from God. I can do all things through him who strengthens me. Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change. But we have this treasure in jars of clay, to show that the surpassing power belongs to God and not to us. Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need. (2Cor 12:9a, 3:5; Php 4:13; James 1:17; 2Cor4:7; Heb 4:16)
