Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear though the earth gives way, though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains tremble at its swelling. Selah For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons, by whom we cry, “Abba! Father!” There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love. (Pro 3;5-6; Psa 46:1-3; Rom 8:15; 1John 4:8)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

For God is not unjust so as to overlook your work and the love that you have shown for his name in serving the saints, as you still do. But grace was given to each one of us according to the measure of Christ's gift. As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace. Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God. And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith. (Heb 6:10; Eph 4:7; 1Pet 13:16; Gal 6:9-10)

Today's Thought

Today's Thought:

I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God. Though you have not seen him, you love him. Though you do not now see him, you believe in him and rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory, obtaining the outcome of your faith, the salvation of your souls, as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal. Now may our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God our Father, who loved us and gave us eternal comfort and good hope through grace, comfort your hearts and establish them in every good work and word. (Eph 4:1; Heb 12;2; 1Pet 1:8-9; 2Cor 4:18; 2Thes 2:16-17)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

May the Lord direct your hearts to the love of God and to the steadfastness of Christ. The highway of the upright turns aside from evil; whoever guards his way preserves his life. For “Whoever desires to love life and see good days, let him keep his tongue from evil and his lips from speaking deceit; let him turn away from evil and do good; let him seek peace and pursue it. keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ that leads to eternal life. For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people, training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age, waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ. (2Thes 3:5; Pro 16:17; 1Pet 3:10-11; Jude 1:21; Titus 2:11-13)

Today's Thought

Today's Thought:

For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ. Now to him who is able to strengthen you according to my gospel and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery that was kept secret for long ages but has now been disclosed and through the prophetic writings has been made known to all nations, according to the command of the eternal God, to bring about the obedience of faithto the only wise God be glory forevermore through Jesus Christ! Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen. (Eph 2:8; Php 1:6; Rom 16:25-27; Eph 3:20-21)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

Who is to condemn? Christ Jesus is the one who died—more than that, who was raised—who is at the right hand of God, who indeed is interceding for us. My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. He is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world. For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all, which is the testimony given at the proper time. Consequently, he is able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them. (Rom 8:34; 1John 2:1-2; 1Tim 2:5-6; Heb 7:25)

Today's Thought

Today's Thought:

In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. His delight is not in the strength of the horse, nor his pleasure in the legs of a man, but the LORD takes pleasure in those who fear him, in those who hope in his steadfast love. For the LORD takes pleasure in his people; he adorns the humble with salvation. I will greatly rejoice in the LORD; my soul shall exult in my God, for he has clothed me with the garments of salvation; he has covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decks himself like a priest with a beautiful headdress, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels. 1John 4:9; 2COr 5:20-21; Psa 147:10-11, 149:4; Isa 61:10)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. In my Father's house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also.” Be patient, therefore, brothers, until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, being patient about it, until it receives the early and the late rains. You also, be patient. Establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand. For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord. Therefore encourage one another with these words. (John 14:1-3; James 5:7-8; 1Thes 4:16-18)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

Indeed, all who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted. But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body to be like his glorious body, by the power that enables him even to subject all things to himself. If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is your life appears, then you also will appear with him in glory. He who has prepared us for this very thing is God, who has given us the Spirit as a guarantee. (2Tim 3:12; Php 3;20-21; Col 3:1-4; 2Cor 5:5)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul? Or what shall a man give in return for his soul? Truly no man can ransom another, or give to God the price of his life, for the ransom of their life is costly and can never suffice. For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all, which is the testimony given at the proper time. He was foreknown before the foundation of the world but was made manifest in the last times for the sake of you who through him are believers in God, who raised him from the dead and gave him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God. (Mat 16:26; Psa 49:7-8; 1Tim 2:5-6; 1Pet 1:20-21)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the LORD require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God? Finally, all of you, have unity of mind, sympathy, brotherly love, a tender heart, and a humble mind. Let no one seek his own good, but the good of his neighbor. Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor. Live in harmony with one another. Do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly. Never be wise in your own sight. For by the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think with sober judgment, each according to the measure of faith that God has assigned. (Mic 6;8; 1Pet 3:8; 1Cor 10:24; Rom 12:10, 16, 3)

Today's Thought

Today's Thought:

Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves. You will recognize them by their fruits. Are grapes gathered from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another. For as in one body we have many members, and the members do not all have the same function, so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another. As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others. (Mat 7:15-16; John 13:34-35; Rom 12:4-5; 1Pet 4:10; Php 2:4)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope. And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful. Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Now may the God of peace who brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great shepherd of the sheep, by the blood of the eternal covenant, equip you with everything good that you may do his will, working in us that which is pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen. (Rom 15:1; Col 3:15; Php 4;5-7; Heb 13:20-21)

Today's Thought

Today's Thought:

I say to the LORD, “You are my Lord; I have no good apart from you.” But I trust in you, O LORD; I say, “You are my God.” For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. And because of him you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, righteousness and sanctification and redemption. For as by the one man's disobedience the many were made sinners, so by the one man's obedience the many will be made righteous. For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. (Psa 16:2, 31:14; 2Cor 4;6; 1Cor 1:30; Rom 5:19; 2Cor 5:21)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Through him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places. See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are. The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know him. Beloved, we are God's children now, and what we will be has not yet appeared; but we know that when he appears we shall be like him, because we shall see him as he is. He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things? (Rom 5:1-2; Eph 1:3; 1John 3:1-2; Rom 8:32)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

For we ourselves were once foolish, disobedient, led astray, slaves to various passions and pleasures, passing our days in malice and envy, hated by others and hating one another. Now the law came in to increase the trespass, but where sin increased, grace abounded all the more, so that, as sin reigned in death, grace also might reign through righteousness leading to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you, who by God's power are being guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. (Titus 3;3; Rom 5:20-21; 1Pet 1:3-5)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

I will sing of the steadfast love of the LORD, forever; with my mouth I will make known your faithfulness to all generations. For I said, “Steadfast love will be built up forever; in the heavens you will establish your faithfulness.” For while we were still weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. For one will scarcely die for a righteous person—though perhaps for a good person one would dare even to die—but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved—and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, so that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. (Psa 89:1-2; Rom 5:6-8; Eph 2:4-7)

Today's Thought

Today's Thought:

I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life. For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons, by whom we cry, “Abba! Father!” The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, provided we suffer with him in order that we may also be glorified with him. Beloved, we are God's children now, and what we will be has not yet appeared; but we know that when he appears we shall be like him, because we shall see him as he is. And this is the promise that he made to us—eternal life. 1John 5:13; Rom 8:15-17; 1John 3:2, 2:25)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

But God's firm foundation stands, bearing this seal: “The Lord knows those who are his,” and, “Let everyone who names the name of the Lord depart from iniquity.” And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know him who is true; and we are in him who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places, even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him. In love he predestined us for adoption to himself as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will, to the praise of his glorious grace, with which he has blessed us in the Beloved. If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. (2Tim 2:19; 1John 5:20; Eph 1:3-6; Col 3:1)

According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. For in this hope we were saved. Now hope that is seen is not hope. For who hopes for what he sees? But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience. But, as it is written, No eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him.” (John 14:2-3; 1Pet 1:3; Rom 8:24-25; 1Cor 2:9)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

So teach us to number our days that we may get a heart of wisdom. Man is like a breath; his days are like a passing shadow. But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body to be like his glorious body, by the power that enables him even to subject all things to himself. So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day. For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal. (Psa 90:12, 144:4; Php 3:20-21; 2Cor 4:16-18)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light. Do all things without murmurings and disputings: that ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world; holding forth the word of life... For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light. For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. (1Pet 2:9; Php 2:14-16a; Eph 5:8; 1Cor 4:6)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

But God's firm foundation stands, bearing this seal: “The Lord knows those who are his,” and, “Let everyone who names the name of the Lord depart from iniquity.” So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the cornerstone, in whom the whole structure, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord. For we are God's fellow workers. You are God's field, God's building. According to the grace of God given to me, like a skilled master builder I laid a foundation, and someone else is building upon it. Let each one take care how he builds upon it. For no one can lay a foundation other than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. (2Tim 2:19; Eph 2:19-21; 1Cor 3:9-11)

Today's Thought

Today's Thought:

For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. “Truly, truly, I say to you, a servant is not greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him. If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them.” Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor. Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ. (Gal 5:13; John 13:16-17; Rom 12:10; Php 2:3; 1Cor 12:12)
