Today's Thought:
And we have the prophetic word more fully confirmed, to which you will do well to pay attention as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts, knowing this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture comes from someone's own interpretation. For no prophecy was ever produced by the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit. For whatever was written in former days was written for our instruction, that through endurance and through the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope. But these are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name. Concerning this salvation, the prophets who prophesied about the grace that was to be yours searched and inquired carefully, inquiring what person or time the Spirit of Christ in them was indicating when he predicted the sufferings of Christ and the subsequent glories. (2Pet 1:19-21; Rom 15:4; John 20:31; 1Pet 1:10-11)
