But the LORD of hosts shall be exalted in judgment, and God that is holy shall be sanctified in righteousness. Be thou exalted, LORD, in thine own strength: so will we sing and praise thy power. For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another. But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour; In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. (Isa 5:6; Psa 21:13; Titus 3;3-6; 1John 4:9)
