Unto thee, O God, do we give thanks, unto thee do we give thanks: for that thy name is near thy wondrous works declare. The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork. Forasmuch as there is none like unto thee, O LORD; thou art great, and thy name is great in might. The heavens declare his righteousness, and all the people see his glory. For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse. But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost75:1, 19:1; Jer 10:6; Psa 97:6; Rom 1:20; Titus 3:4-5)
