Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

As for me, I shall behold your face in righteousness; when I awake, I shall be satisfied with your likeness. Just as we have borne the image of the man of dust, we shall also bear the image of the man of heaven. Behold! I tell you a mystery. We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we shall be changed. For this perishable body must put on the imperishable, and this mortal body must put on immortality. When the perishable puts on the imperishable, and the mortal puts on immortality, then shall come to pass the saying that is written: “Death is swallowed up in victory.” For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. (Psa 17:15; 1Cor 15:49, 51-54; Rom 8:29)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. Are you so foolish? Having begun by the Spirit, are you now being perfected by the flesh? But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. For the desires of the flesh are against the Spirit, and the desires of the Spirit are against the flesh, for these are opposed to each other, to keep you from doing the things you want to do, for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure... I know, O LORD, that the way of man is not in himself, that it is not in man who walks to direct his steps. Correct me, O LORD, but in justice; not in your anger, lest you bring me to nothing. (Pro 3:5-6; Gal 3:3, 5:16-17; Php 2:13; Jer 10:23-24)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned—every one—to his own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all. But when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that being justified by his grace we might become heirs according to the hope of eternal life. There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. (1John 4:9-10; Isa 53:6; Titus 3:4-7; Rom 8:1)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God. For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons, by whom we cry, “Abba! Father!” The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, provided we suffer with him in order that we may also be glorified with him. See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are. The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know him. Beloved, we are God's children now, and what we will be has not yet appeared; but we know that when he appears we shall be like him, because we shall see him as he is. (Gal 5:16; Rom 8:14-17; 1John 3:1-2)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect. Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him, rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving. See to it that no one takes you captive by philosophy and empty deceit, according to human tradition, according to the elemental spirits of the world, and not according to Christ. For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths. (Rom 12:1-2; Col 2:6-8; 2Tim 4:3-4)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins, that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. Consequently, he is able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them. (Col 1:13-14; Eph 3:16-19; 1John 2:1-2)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you, who by God's power are being guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. For all the promises of God find their Yes in him. That is why it is through him that we utter our Amen to God for his glory. But the Scripture imprisoned everything under sin, so that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe. I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life. (1Pet 1:3-5; 2COr 1:20; Gal 3:22; 1John 5:13)

For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. For this very reason, make every effort to supplement your faith with virtue, and virtue with knowledge, and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with steadfastness, and steadfastness with godliness, and godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love. For if these qualities are yours and are increasing, they keep you from being ineffective or unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. (Rom 12:2, 8:29; 2Cor 5:17; 2Pet 1:5-8)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

One thing have I asked of the LORD, that will I seek after: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD and to inquire in his temple. For he will hide me in his shelter in the day of trouble; he will conceal me under the cover of his tent; he will lift me high upon a rock. For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power. After making purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high. And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit. (Psa 27:4-5; 2Cor 4:6; Heb 1:3; 2Co3;18)

Today's Thought

Today's Thought:

I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come. He will glorify me, for he will take what is mine and declare it to you. These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full. But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.” Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work. (John 16:12-14, 15:11; 14:26; Col 3:16; 2Tim 3:16-17)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

But when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, making known to us the mystery of his will, according to his purpose, which he set forth in Christ. Put on then, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience. But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to gratify its desires. If we live by the Spirit, let us also keep in step with the Spirit. Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things? His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence, by which he has granted to us his precious and very great promises, so that through them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world because of sinful desire, even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him. In love he predestined us for adoption to himself as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will, to the praise of his glorious grace, with which he has blessed us in the Beloved. (Psa 23:1; Rom 8:32; 2Pet 1:3-4; Eph 1:4-6)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

Only in the LORD, it shall be said of me, are righteousness and strength; The LORD is my strength and my shield; in him my heart trusts, and I am helped; my heart exults, and with my song I give thanks to him. I can do all things through him who strengthens me. You then, my child, be strengthened by the grace that is in Christ Jesus. Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might...so as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him: bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; being strengthened with all power, according to his glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy; giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in light. (Isa 45:24a; Psa 28:7; Php 4:13; 2Tim 2:1; Eph 6:10; Col 1:10-12)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to gratify its desires. Just as we have borne the image of the man of dust, we shall also bear the image of the man of heaven, for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure. For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit. Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

But God's firm foundation stands, bearing this seal: “The Lord knows those who are his,” and, “Let everyone who names the name of the Lord depart from iniquity.” What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things? Who shall bring any charge against God's elect? It is God who justifies. Who is to condemn? Christ Jesus is the one who died—more than that, who was raised—who is at the right hand of God, who indeed is interceding for us.I am the good shepherd. I know my own and my own know me.” But if anyone loves God, he is known by God. (2Tim 2:19; Rom 8:31-34; John 10:14; 1Cor 8:3)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

For no one can lay a foundation other than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. Now if anyone builds on the foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straweach one's work will become manifest, for the Day will disclose it, because it will be revealed by fire, and the fire will test what sort of work each one has done. If the work that anyone has built on the foundation survives, he will receive a reward. If anyone's work is burned up, he will suffer loss, though he himself will be saved, but only as through fire. For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all, which is the testimony given at the proper time. And this is the testimony, that God gave us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. When Christ who is your life appears, then you also will appear with him in glory. (1Cor 3:11-15; 1Tim 2:5-6; 1John 5:11; Col 3:4)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

A good name is to be chosen rather than great riches, and favor is better than silver or gold. Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Through him then let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that acknowledge his name. And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. (Pro 22:1; Php 2:5-11; Heb 13:15; Acts 4:12)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls...and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. Do not present your members to sin as instruments for unrighteousness, but present yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life, and your members to God as instruments for righteousness. For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery. But thanks be to God, that you who were once slaves of sin have become obedient from the heart to the standard of teaching to which you were committed, and, having been set free from sin, have become slaves of righteousness. (Mat 11:28-29; John 8:32; Mat 11:30; Rom 6:13; Gal 5:1; Rom 6:17-18)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. The heart of man plans his way, but the LORD establishes his steps. I know, O LORD, that the way of man is not in himself, that it is not in man who walks to direct his steps. Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the LORD that will stand. If we live by the Spirit, let us also keep in step with the Spirit. And this is the testimony, that God gave us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life. I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life. (John 6:68b; Pro 16:9; Jer 10:23; Pro 19:21; Gal 5:25; 1John 5:11-13)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

The steps of a man are established by the LORD, when he delights in his way; though he fall, he shall not be cast headlong, for the LORD upholds his hand. “All mine are yours, and yours are mine, and I am glorified in them. And I am no longer in the world, but they are in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, keep them in your name, which you have given me, that they may be one, even as we are one. While I was with them, I kept them in your name, which you have given me. I have guarded them... My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father's hand. I and the Father are one. (Psa 37:23-24; John 17:10-12a, 10:27-30)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

Now may the God of peace who brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great shepherd of the sheep, by the blood of the eternal covenant, equip you with everything good that you may do his will, working in us that which is pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen...for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure. What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things? Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love. He will not always chide, nor will he keep his anger forever. He does not deal with us according to our sins, nor repay us according to our iniquities. But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved—and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, so that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. (Psa 103:8-10; Eph 2:4-7; 1Cor 5:21)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

I do not nullify the grace of God, for if righteousness were through the law, then Christ died for no purpose. For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. But if it is by grace, it is no longer on the basis of works; otherwise grace would no longer be grace. What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Through him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God. (Gal 2:21; Eph 2:8-9; Rom 11:6, 8:31, 5:1-2)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change. For we ourselves were once foolish, disobedient, led astray, slaves to various passions and pleasures, passing our days in malice and envy, hated by others and hating one another. And this is the testimony, that God gave us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life. Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

Oh, how abundant is your goodness, which you have stored up for those who fear you and worked for those who take refuge in you, in the sight of the children of mankind! You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore. But, as it is written, “What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him.” Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! As for me, I shall behold your face in righteousness; when I awake, I shall be satisfied with your likeness. (Psa 31:19, 16:11; 1Cor 2:9; 1Pet 1:3-5; Psa 17:15)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

And when he had said these things, as they were looking on, he was lifted up, and a cloud took him out of their sight. And while they were gazing into heaven as he went, behold, two men stood by them in white robes, and said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into heaven? This Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will come in the same way as you saw him go into heaven.” But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body to be like his glorious body, by the power that enables him even to subject all things to himself. For this we declare to you by a word from the Lord, that we who are alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord. Therefore encourage one another with these words. (Acts 1:9-11; Php 3:20-21; 1Thes 4:15-18)

I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called. (1John 4:9-10; Rom 8:31-32; 2Pet 1:3-4; Eph 4:1)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

If the world hates you, know that it has hated me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love you as its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. Indeed, all who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted. For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal. Do not be surprised, brothers, that the world hates you. No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. Now may our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God our Father, who loved us and gave us eternal comfort and good hope through grace, comfort your hearts and establish them in every good work and word. (John 15:18-19; 2Tim 3:12; 2Cor 4:17-18; 1John 3:13; 2Thes 2:16-17)

Today's Thought

Today's Thought:

If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is your life appears, then you also will appear with him in glory. But according to his promise we are waiting for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells. Therefore, beloved, since you are waiting for these, be diligent to be found by him without spot or blemish, and at peace. Besides this you know the time, that the hour has come for you to wake from sleep. For salvation is nearer to us now than when we first believed. For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people, training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age, waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ. (Col 3:1-4; 2Pet 3:13-14; Rom 13:11; Titus 2:11-13)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned—every one—to his own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all. My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. He is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. for at one time you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light (for the fruit of light is found in all that is good and right and true), and try to discern what is pleasing to the Lord. But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to gratify its desires. (Isa 53:6; 1John 1:1-2; 2COr 5:17; Eph 5:8-10; Rom 13:14)
