Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God. (Isa 53:4-5; Rom 8:3; 2Cor 5:21; 1John 1:9; Rom 5:10; 1Cor 6:11)
