Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

Finally, all of you, have unity of mind, sympathy, brotherly love, a tender heart, and a humble mind. For as in one body we have many members, and the members do not all have the same function, so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another. If one member suffers, all suffer together; if one member is honored, all rejoice together. Now you are the body of Christ and individually members of it. Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. Finally, brothers, rejoice. Aim for restoration, comfort one another, agree with one another, live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you. (1Pet 3:8; Rom 12;4-5; 1Cor 12:26-27; Gal 6:2; 2Cor 13:11)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

What causes quarrels and what causes fights among you? Is it not this, that your passions are at war within you? By insolence comes nothing but strife, but with those who take advice is wisdom. Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others. For by the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think with sober judgment, each according to the measure of faith that God has assigned. For as in one body we have many members, and the members do not all have the same function, so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another. Let love be genuine. Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good. Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor. (James 4:1; Pro 3:10; Php 2:3-4; Rom 12:3-5, 9-10)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you, who by God's power are being guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. In him you also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until we acquire possession of it, to the praise of his glory. But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body to be like his glorious body, by the power that enables him even to subject all things to himself. (1Pet 1:3-5; Eph 1:13-14; Php 3:20-21)

Today's Thought

Today's Thought:

For he whom God has sent utters the words of God, for he gives the Spirit without measure. But grace was given to each one of us according to the measure of Christ's gift. For from his fullness we have all received, grace upon grace. Through him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God. to the praise of his glorious grace, with which he has blessed us in the Beloved. In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace, which he lavished upon us, in all wisdom and insight making known to us the mystery of his will, according to his purpose, which he set forth in Christ. (John 3:34; Eph 4:7; John 1:16; Rom 5:2; Eph 1:6-9)

Today's Thought

Today's Thought:

Through your precepts I get understanding; therefore I hate every false way.” There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way to death. But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. Little children, let no one deceive you. Whoever practices righteousness is righteous, as he is righteous. Do you not know that if you present yourselves to anyone as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one whom you obey, either of sin, which leads to death, or of obedience, which leads to righteousness? But thanks be to God, that you who were once slaves of sin have become obedient from the heart to the standard of teaching to which you were committed, and, having been set free from sin, have become slaves of righteousness. I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called. (Psa 119:104; Pro 14:12; James 1:22; 1John 3:7; Rom 6:16-18; Eph 4:1)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you. Trust in the LORD forever, for the LORD GOD is an everlasting rock. May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope. And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful, so as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him: bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; being strengthened with all power, according to his glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy; giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in light. He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.(Isa 26:3-4; Rom 15:13; Col 3:15, 1:10-14)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For as by a man came death, by a man has come also the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive. But each in his own order: Christ the firstfruits, then at his coming those who belong to Christ. For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep. For this we declare to you by a word from the Lord, that we who are alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will not precede those who have fallen asleep. When Christ who is your life appears, then you also will appear with him in glory. (John 3:16; 1Cor 15:21-23; 1Thes 4:14-15; Col 3:4)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body to be like his glorious body, by the power that enables him even to subject all things to himself. For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people, training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age, waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ. For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord. (Php 3:20-21; Titus 2:11-13; 1Thes 4:16-17)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect. If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride of life—is not from the Father but is from the world. And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever. Since all these things are thus to be dissolved, what sort of people ought you to be in lives of holiness and godliness… (Rom 12:2; Col 3:1-2; 1John 2:15-17; 2Pet 3:11)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers; but his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers. Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him, rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. (Psa 1:1-3; Col 2:6-7, 3:16-17)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

Who shall bring any charge against God's elect? It is God who justifies. Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God put forward as a propitiation by his blood, to be received by faith. This was to show God's righteousness, because in his divine forbearance he had passed over former sins. It was to show his righteousness at the present time, so that he might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus. Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments and how inscrutable his ways! “For who has known the mind of the Lord, or who has been his counselor?” “Or who has given a gift to him that he might be repaid?” For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be glory forever. Amen. (Rom 8:33, 5:1, 3:23-26, 11:34-36)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear though the earth gives way, though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains tremble at its swelling. For God has not destined us for wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us so that whether we are awake or asleep we might live with him. So we can confidently say, “The Lord is my helper; I will not fear; what can man do to me?” Who shall bring any charge against God's elect? It is God who justifies. Who is to condemn? Christ Jesus is the one who died—more than that, who was raised—who is at the right hand of God, who indeed is interceding for us. (Psa 46:1-3; 1Thes 5:9-10; Heb 13:6; Rom 8:33-34)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change. Of his own will he brought us forth by the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures. Such is the confidence that we have through Christ toward God. Not that we are sufficient in ourselves to claim anything as coming from us, but our sufficiency is from God. And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work. As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace: looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God. Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, even so I am sending you. But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth. For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, now that we are reconciled, shall we be saved by his life. More than that, we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation. All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation; that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation. Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. (John 20:21; Acts 1:8; Rom 5:10-11; 2Cor 5:18-20)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things? Now we have received not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might understand the things freely given us by God, even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him. In love he predestined us for adoption to himself as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will, to the praise of his glorious grace, with which he has blessed us in the Beloved. We have this as a sure and steadfast anchor of the soul, a hope that enters into the inner place behind the curtain, where Jesus has gone as a forerunner on our behalf. Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

Jesus said.., “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life.” Who shall bring any charge against God's elect? It is God who justifies. Who is to condemn? Christ Jesus is the one who died—more than that, who was raised—who is at the right hand of God, who indeed is interceding for us. For God has not destined us for wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us so that whether we are awake or asleep we might live with him. Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing. Now to him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you blameless before the presence of his glory with great joy, to the only God, our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen. (John 14:6, 5:24; Rom 8:33-34; 1Thes 5:9-11; Jude 1:24-25)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace, which he lavished upon us, in all wisdom and insight making known to us the mystery of his will, according to his purpose, which he set forth in Christ. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. (Rom 5:8; 1John 4:9-10; Eph 1:7-9; John 3:16-17)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

Now we have received not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might understand the things freely given us by God. If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you. We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life. I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called. For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. Whoever says he abides in him ought to walk in the same way in which he walked. (1Cor 2:12; Rom 8:11, 6:4; 2Cor 4:6; 1John 2:6)

Today's Thought

Thought: Today's

Blessed is the one whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. Blessed is the man against whom the LORD counts no iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no deceit. For we ourselves were once foolish, disobedient, led astray, slaves to various passions and pleasures, passing our days in malice and envy, hated by others and hating one another. But when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that being justified by his grace we might become heirs according to the hope of eternal life. Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Through him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God. (Psa 32:1-2; Titus 3:3-7; Rom 5:1-2)

 Today's Thought:

You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called. Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body. For the love of Christ controls us, because we have concluded this: that one has died for all, therefore all have died; and he died for all, that those who live might no longer live for themselves but for him who for their sake died and was raised. Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. Therefore, preparing your minds for action, and being sober-minded, set your hope fully on the grace that will be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ. As obedient children, do not be conformed to the passions of your former ignorance, but as he who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, since it is written, “You shall be holy, for I am holy.” Who is wise and understanding among you? By his good conduct let him show his works in the meekness of wisdom. If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. (Col 1:13-14; 1Pet 1:13-15; James 3:13; Col 3:1-2)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another. Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us. Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. Let love be genuine. Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good. Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor. The aim of our charge is love that issues from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith. Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

You gave your good Spirit to instruct them and did not withhold your manna from their mouth and gave them water for their thirst. Come, everyone who thirsts, come to the waters; and he who has no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without price. Why do you spend your money for that which is not bread, and your labor for that which does not satisfy? Listen diligently to me, and eat what is good, and delight yourselves in rich food. For the bread of God is he who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world. Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.” (Neh 9:20; Isa 55:1-2; John 6:33, 35; Mat 5:6)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way to death. Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. Consequently, he is able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them. Through him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God. And because of him you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, righteousness and sanctification and redemption. For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. For through him we both have access in one Spirit to the Father. (Pro 16:25; John 14:6; Heb 7:25; Rom 5:2; 1Cor 1:30; 2Cor 4:6; Eph 2:18)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

But godliness with contentment is great gain, for we brought nothing into the world, and we cannot take anything out of the world. But if we have food and clothing, with these we will be content. Not that I am speaking of being in need, for I have learned in whatever situation I am to be content. I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need. I can do all things through him who strengthens me. If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God. Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. The saying is trustworthy and deserving of full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am the foremost. For I know that nothing good dwells in me, that is, in my flesh. For I have the desire to do what is right, but not the ability to carry it out. Today's Thought:

The LORD is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; he knows those who take refuge in him. He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say to the LORD, “My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust. He delivered us from such a deadly peril, and he will deliver us. On him we have set our hope that he will deliver us again. He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son, For God has not destined us for wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us so that whether we are awake or asleep we might live with him. God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change. Of his own will he brought us forth by the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures. for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure. Now may the God of peace himself sanctify you completely, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. He who calls you is faithful; he will surely do it. O LORD, you are my God; I will exalt you; I will praise your name, for you have done wonderful things, plans formed of old, faithful and sure. The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.  Today's Thought:

And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places, even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him. In love he predestined us for adoption to himself as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will, to the praise of his glorious grace, with which he has blessed us in the Beloved. His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence, by which he has granted to us his precious and very great promises, so that through them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world because of sinful desire.(Php 4:19; 2Cor 9:8; Eph 1:3-6; 2Pet 1:3-4)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light. Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD has risen upon you. For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ...for at one time you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light. He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. Such is the confidence that we have through Christ toward God. Not that we are sufficient in ourselves to claim anything as coming from us, but our sufficiency is from God.
