Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen. Psa 103:1-4; Eph 2:4-7; Jude 1:24-25)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I am the LORD which exercise lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith the LORD. For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us. But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world. [I pray] that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him. But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen. (Jer 9:24; 2Cor 4:6-7; Gal 6:14; Eph 1:17; 2Pet 3;18)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

Whoso offereth praise glorifieth me: and to him that ordereth his conversation aright will I shew the salvation of God. I will praise thee, O Lord my God, with all my heart: and I will glorify thy name for evermore. Praise ye the LORD. Praise the LORD, O my soul. While I live will I praise the LORD: I will sing praises unto my God while I have any being. Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus: That ye may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name. Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory; receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls. (Psa 50:23, 86:12, 146:1-2; Rom 15:5-6; Heb 13;15; 1Pet 1:8-9)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; that ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God; that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places. (Col 1:9-10; Eph 1:17-20)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day. “But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.” As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby. If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious. But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen. (Psa 25:5; John 14:26, 16:13-14; 1Pet 2:2-3; 2Pet 3:18)

Today's Thought

Today's Thought:

Thy name, O LORD, endureth for ever; and thy memorial, O LORD, throughout all generations. O LORD our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! Canst thou by searching find out God? canst thou find out the Almighty unto perfection? But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints: to whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory: in whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace; wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence; having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself. (Psa 135:13, 8:9; Job 11:7; 1Cor 2:7; Col 1:26-27; Eph 1:7-9)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

What man is he that desireth life, and loveth many days, that he may see good? Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile. Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it. For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith. (Psa 34:12-14; Titus 2:11-14; Gal 6:9-10)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple. Thy hands have made me and fashioned me: give me understanding, that I may learn thy commandments. And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life. Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things. (Psa 19:7, 119:73; 1John 5:20; 2Cor 5:17; Eph 2:10; 1Cor 13:11)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

I am a companion of all them that fear thee, and of them that keep thy precepts. Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name. And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. That thou mayest walk in the way of good men, and keep the paths of the righteous. He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed. As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving. Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. (Psa 119:63; Mal 3:16; Heb 10:24-25; Pro 2;20, 13:20; Col 2:6-8)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

Righteous art thou, O LORD, and upright are thy judgments. He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he. O LORD, thou art my God; I will exalt thee, I will praise thy name; for thou hast done wonderful things; thy counsels of old are faithfulness and truth. For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another. But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour; That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life. (Psa 119:137; Deut 32:4; Isa 25:1; Titus 3:3-7)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple. For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life. And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ. All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works. (Psa 119:130; Pro 6:23; Eph 4:11-13; 2Tim 3:16-17)

Today's Thought

Today's Thought:

For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea. And the glory of the LORD shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high. But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord. (Hab 2:14; Isa 40:5; John 1:14; Heb 1:1-3; 2Cor 3:18)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him. But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption: To the end he may stablish your hearts unblameable in holiness before God, even our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all his saints. For God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness. According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. (1Cor 12:18, 1:30; 1Thes 3:13, 4:7; 2Pet 1:3; 2Cor 4:6)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

I am a companion of all them that fear thee, and of them that keep thy precepts. He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed. Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you. Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners. (Psa 119:63; Pro 13:20; 2Cor 6:14-17; 1Cor 15:33)

Today's Thought

Today's Thought:

Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.” Uphold me according unto thy word, that I may live: and let me not be ashamed of my hope. Hold thou me up, and I shall be safe: and I will have respect unto thy statutes continually. Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is. For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit. Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ: And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. (Isa 41:10; Psa 119:116-117; Jer 17:7-8; Php 1:6; 1Thes 5:23)

Today's Thought

Today's Thought:

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for? But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it. For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ: who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself. (1Pet 1:3-5; Rom 8:24-25; Php 3;20-21)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

Praise ye the LORD: for it is good to sing praises unto our God; for it is pleasant; and praise is comely. For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones. Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God. Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God, even our Father, which hath loved us, and hath given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace, comfort your hearts, and stablish you in every good word and work. (Psa 147:1; Isa 57:15; 2Cor 1:3-4; 2Thes 2:16-17)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

Turn away mine eyes from beholding vanity; and quicken thou me in thy way. Let thine eyes look right on, and let thine eyelids look straight before thee. Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established. Turn not to the right hand nor to the left: remove thy foot from evil. See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is. Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. (Psa 119:37; Pro 4:25-27; Eph 5:15-17; Pro 3:5-6)

Today's Thought

Today's Thought:

Thy testimonies also are my delight and my counsellors. Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward. To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them. But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed. Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates? For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things. Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God. (Psa 119:24, 19:11; Isa 8:20; James 1:25; 2COr 13:5; 1John 3:20-21)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

Who can say, I have made my heart clean, I am pure from my sin? O that my ways were directed to keep thy statutes! Then shall I not be ashamed, when I have respect unto all thy commandments. Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life. All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. Pro 20:9; Psa 119:5-6, 51:10; Pro 4:23; 2Tim 3;16-17; Col 3:16)

Today's Thought

Today's Thought:

The LORD hath done great things for us; whereof we are glad. According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things? Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth. Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life. (Psa 126:3; 2Pet 1:3; Rom 8:32-34; 1COr 2;12; 1John 5:20)
