Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

So if any one be in Christ, there is a new creation; the old things have passed away; behold all things have become new: and all things are of the God who has reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and given to us the ministry of that reconciliation: how that God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, not reckoning to them their offences; and putting in us the word of that reconciliation...for it is God who works in you both the willing and the working according to his good pleasure. But the God of peace, who brought again from among the dead our Lord Jesus, the great shepherd of the sheep, in the power of the blood of the eternal covenant, perfect you in every good work to the doing of his will, doing in you what is pleasing before him through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for the ages of ages. Amen. (2Cor 5:17-19; Php 2:13; Heb 13:20-21)

Today's Thought

Today's Thought:

Jesus said to them, I am the Bread of life; the one coming to Me will not at all hunger, and the one believing into Me will not thirst, never! Ho, everyone who thirsts, come to the water; and he who has no silver, come buy grain and eat. Yes, come buy grain, wine and milk without silver and with no price. Why do you weigh out silver for that which is not bread, and your labor for what never satisfies? Listen carefully to Me and eat the good; and let your soul delight itself in fatness. “Come to Me, all those laboring and being burdened, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, because I am meek and lowly in heart, and you will find rest to your souls. For My yoke is easy, and My burden is light.” For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments; and His commandments are not heavy. O man, He has declared to you what is good. And what does the LORD require of you, but to do justice, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God? (John 6:35; Isa 55:1-2; Mat 11:28-30; 1John 5:3; Micah 6:8)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

But also if our gospel is being hidden, it has been hidden in those being lost, in whom the god of this age has blinded the thoughts of the unbelieving, so that the brightness of the gospel of the glory of Christ who is the image of God, should not dawn on them. For we do not proclaim ourselves, but Christ Jesus as Lord, and ourselves your slaves for the sake of Jesus. Because it is God who said, "Out of darkness Light shall shine," who shone in our hearts to give the brightness of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. For as through the one man's disobedience the many were constituted sinners, so also through the obedience of the One the many shall be constituted righteous. For He made the One who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him...to the praise of the glory of His grace in which He favored us in the One having been loved, in whom we have redemption through His blood, the remission of deviations, according to the riches of His grace... (2Cor 4:3-6; Rom 5:19; 2Cor 5:21; Eph 1:6-7)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

But when the kindness and love of God our Savior toward man appeared, not by works in righteousness which we had done, but according to His mercy, He saved us through the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit, to the praise of the glory of His grace in which He favored us in the One having been loved, in whom we have redemption through His blood, the remission of deviations, according to the riches of His grace which He caused to abound toward us in all wisdom and understanding, making known to us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure which He purposed in Himself...but God commends His love to us in this, that we being yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being justified now by His blood, we shall be saved from the wrath through Him. For if while being enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by His life; (Titus 3:4-5; Eph 1:6-9; Rom 5:8-10)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, walk in Him, being rooted and being built up in Him, and being confirmed in the faith, even as you were taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving. Watch that there not be one robbing you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the elements of the world, and not according to Christ. Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly, in all wisdom teaching and exhorting yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. And everything, whatever you do in word or in work, do all things in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father through Him. For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; and having been filled, you are in Him, who is the Head of all rule and authority, And out of His fullness we all received, and grace on top of grace. (Col 2:6-8, 3:16-17, 2:9-10; John 1:16)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

Jesus says... “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father unless by me. If ye had known me, ye would have known also my Father, and henceforth ye know him and have seen him.” No one has seen God at any time; the only-begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him ...who being the effulgence of his glory and the expression of his substance, and upholding all things by the word of his power, having made by himself the purification of sins, set himself down on the right hand of the greatness on high...Whoever denies the Son has not the Father either; he who confesses the Son has the Father also. Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God. If therefore ye have been raised with the Christ, seek the things which are above, where the Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God: have your mind on the things that are above, not on the things that are on the earth; for ye have died, and your life is hid with the Christ in God. When the Christ is manifested who is our life, then shall ye also be manifested with him in glory. (John 14:6-7, 1:18; Heb 1:3; 1John 2:23, 4:15; Col 3:1-4)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, He according to His great mercy having regenerated us to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and unfading, having been kept in Heaven for you the ones in the power of God being guarded through faith to a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time... See what manner of love the Father has given us, that we may be called children of God. For this reason the world does not know us, because it did not know Him. Beloved, now we are the children of God, and it was not yet revealed what we shall be. But we know that if He is revealed, we shall be like Him, because we shall see Him as He is. But we all with our face having been unveiled, having beheld the glory of the Lord in a mirror, are being changed into the same image from glory to glory, as from the Lord Spirit. (1Pet 1:3-5; 1John 3:1-2; 2Cor 3:18)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

For I am persuaded that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the compassions of God, to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your intelligent service. And be not conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God...that ye should walk worthy of God, who calls you to his own kingdom and glory. Amen. (Rom 8:38-39, 12:1-2; 1Thes 2:12; Heb 13:20-21)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

In My Father's house are many dwelling places. But if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going to prepare a place for you! And if I go and prepare a place for you, I am coming again and will receive you to Myself, that where I am you may be also.” For Christ did not enter into the Holy of Holies made by hands, types of the true things, but into Heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God on our behalf...For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will also bring with Him all those who have fallen asleep through Jesus. For we say this to you in the Word of the Lord, that we the living who remain to the coming of the Lord will not at all go before those who have fallen asleep. Because the Lord Himself shall come down from Heaven with a commanding shout of an archangel's voice, and with God's trumpet. And the dead in Christ will rise again first. Then we who remain alive will be caught up together with them in the clouds to a meeting with the Lord in the air. And so we will always be with the Lord. For our citizenship is in Heaven, from where we also wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our body of humiliation, for it to be conformed to His body of glory, according to the working of Him to be able even to subject all things under Himself. (John 14:2-3; Heb 9:24; 1Thes 4:14-17; Php 3:20-21)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. (Rom 8:1; Titus 2:11-14; Gal 5:16-17, 25)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well. My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them. How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them! For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. (Gen 1:26-27; Psa 100:3, 139:15-17; Eph 2:10)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenlies in Christ; according as he has chosen us in him before the world's foundation, that we should be holy and blameless before him in love; having marked us out beforehand for adoption through Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, to the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he has taken us into favour in the Beloved: in whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of offences, according to the riches of his grace; but according as it is written, Things which eye has not seen, and ear not heard, and which have not come into man's heart, which God has prepared for them that love him...Beloved, now are we children of God, and what we shall be has not yet been manifested; we know that if it is manifested we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is. (Eph 1:3-7; 1Cor 2:9; 1John 3:2)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

The heavens declare the glory of God; and the expanse sheweth the work of his hands. Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge. There is no speech and there are no words, yet their voice is heard. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things received being through him, and without him not one thing received being which has received being...because by him were created all things, the things in the heavens and the things upon the earth, the visible and the invisible, whether thrones, or lordships, or principalities, or authorities: all things have been created by him and for him. And he is before all, and all things subsist together by him God having spoken in many parts and in many ways formerly to the fathers in the prophets, at the end of these days has spoken to us in the person of the Son, whom he has established heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; who being the effulgence of his glory and the expression of his substance, and upholding all things by the word of his power, having made by himself the purification of sins, set himself down on the right hand of the greatness on high... (Psa 19:1-3; John 1:1-3; Col 1:16-17; Heb 1:1-3)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

Let love be unfeigned; abhorring evil; cleaving to good: as to brotherly love, kindly affectioned towards one another: as to honour, each taking the lead in paying it to the other: as to diligent zealousness, not slothful; in spirit fervent; serving the Lord. For he that will love life and see good days, let him cause his tongue to cease from evil and his lips that they speak no guile. And let him avoid evil, and do good; let him seek peace and pursue it; and the peace of God, which surpasses every understanding, shall guard your hearts and your thoughts by Christ Jesus. For the rest, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are noble, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are amiable, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue and if any praise, think on these things....that ye should walk worthy of God, who calls you to his own kingdom and glory...who has saved us, and has called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given to us in Christ Jesus before the ages of time... (Rom 12:9-11; 1Pet 3:10-11; Php 4:7-8; 1Thes 2:12; 2Tim 1:9)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness, quietness and assurance for ever...for it is God who works in you both the willing and the working according to his good pleasure. Him who knew not sin he has made sin for us, that we might become God's righteousness in him.But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who has been made to us wisdom from God, and righteousness, and holiness, and redemption; Therefore having been justified on the principle of faith, we have peace towards God through our Lord Jesus Christ; by whom we have also access by faith into this favour in which we stand, and we boast in hope of the glory of God...having confidence of this very thing, that he who has begun in you a good work will complete it unto Jesus Christ's day:There is then now no condemnation to those in Christ Jesus. But to him that is able to keep you without stumbling, and to set you with exultation blameless before his glory, to the only God our Saviour, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, might, and authority, from before the whole age, and now, and to all the ages. Amen. (Isa 32:17; Php 2:13; 2Cor 5:21; 1Cor 1:30; Rom 5:1-2; Php 1:6; Rom 8:1; Jude 1:24-25)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

I leave peace to you; My peace I give to you. Not as the world gives I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, nor let it be timid. Come to Me, all those laboring and being burdened, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, because I am meek and lowly in heart, and you will find rest to your souls. For My yoke is easy, and My burden is light.” Be anxious about nothing, but in everything by prayer and by petition with thanksgivings, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God which surpasses all understanding will keep your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassions and God of all comfort, the One comforting us on all our affliction, for us to be able to comfort those in every affliction, through the comfort by which we ourselves are comforted by God. Therefore, encourage one another, and build up one another, as you indeed do. (John 14:27; Mat 11:28-30; Php 4:6-7; 2Cor 1:3-4; 1Thes 5:11)

 Today's Thought:

O man, He has declared to you what is good. And what does Jehovah require of you, but to do justice, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God? Because it is God who said, "Out of darkness Light shall shine," who shone in our hearts to give the brightness of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. For the saving grace of God has appeared to all men, instructing us that having denied ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live discreetly and righteously and godly in the present age, looking for the blessed hope and appearance of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave Himself on our behalf, "that He might redeem us from all lawlessness and purify a special people for Himself," zealous of good works...for we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God before prepared that we should walk in them. Then I, the prisoner in the Lord, exhort you to walk worthily of the calling in which you were called... (Mic 6:8; 2Cor 4:6; Titus 2:11-14; Eph 2:10, 4:1)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

For what does the Scripture say? "And Abraham believed God, and it was counted to him for righteousness." Because if you confess the Lord Jesus with your mouth, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth one confesses unto salvation. For the Scripture says, "Everyone believing on Him will not be put to shame." For God did not send His Son into the world that He might judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him. The one believing into Him is not condemned; but the one not believing has already been condemned, for he has not believed into the name of the only begotten Son of God. There is therefore now no condemnation to those in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to flesh, but according to Spirit. For by grace you are saved, through faith, and this not of yourselves; it is the gift of God; not of works, that not anyone should boast; for we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God before prepared that we should walk in them. (Rom 4:3, 10:9-11; John 3:17-18; Rom 8:1; Eph 2:8-10)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

But my God shall abundantly supply all your need according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. As his divine power has given to us all things which relate to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that has called us by glory and virtue, through which he has given to us the greatest and precious promises, that through these ye may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. And all indeed who desire to live piously in Christ Jesus will be persecuted. Be careful about nothing; but in everything, by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses every understanding, shall guard your hearts and your thoughts by Christ Jesus. Amen. (Php 4:19; 2Pet 1:3-4; 2Tim 3:12; Php 4:6-7; Heb 13:20-21)

But for this very reason also, using therewith all diligence, in your faith have also virtue, in virtue knowledge, in knowledge temperance, in temperance endurance, in endurance godliness, in godliness brotherly love, in brotherly love love: for these things existing and abounding in you make you to be neither idle nor unfruitful as regards the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ; Strive diligently to present thyself approved to God, a workman that has not to be ashamed, cutting in a straight line the word of truth. Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

O Jehovah, You have heard the desire of the humble; You will prepare their heart; Your ear will hear. But if we hope for what we do not see, through patience we wait eagerly. And likewise the Spirit also joins in to help our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray as we ought, but the Spirit Himself intercedes on our behalf with groanings that cannot be uttered. But the One searching the hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because He petitions on behalf of the saints according to God. And because you are sons, God sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying, Abba! Father! For through Him we both have access by one Spirit to the Father. Therefore, let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy, and we may find grace for timely help. (Psa 10:17; Rom 8:25-27; Gal 4:6; Eph 2:18; Heb 4:16)
