Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

Having been declared righteous, then, by faith, we have peace toward God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have the access by the faith into this grace in which we have stood, and we boast on the hope of the glory of God...for if, being enemies, we have been reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved in his life...and he, because of his remaining—to the age, hath the priesthood not transient, whence also he is able to save to the very end, those coming through him unto God—ever living to make intercession for them...and the God of the hope shall fill you with all joy and peace in the believing, for your abounding in the hope in power of the Holy Spirit. And to Him who is able to guard you not stumbling, and to set you in the presence of His glory unblemished, in gladness, to the only wise God our Saviour, is glory and greatness, power and authority, both now and to all the ages! Amen. (Rom 5:1-2, 10; Heb 7:24-25; Rom 15:13; Jude 1:24-25)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

For the rest, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord: to write the same things to you, to me is not irksome, and for you safe. Rejoice in Jehovah, and be glad, ye righteous; and shout for joy, all ye upright in heart...having confidence of this very thing, that he who has begun in you a good work will complete it unto Jesus Christ's day: Because whom he has foreknown, he has also predestinated to be conformed to the image of his Son, so that he should be the firstborn among many brethren. But we all, looking on the glory of the Lord, with unveiled face, are transformed according to the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Lord the Spirit. He is faithful who calls you, who will also perform it . Beloved, now are we children of God, and what we shall be has not yet been manifested; we know that if it is manifested we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is. (Php 3:1; Psa 32:11; Php 1:6; Rom 8:29; 2Cor 3:18; 1Thes 5:24;1John 3:2)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy. He will not always chide: neither will he keep his anger for ever. He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities. For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace; Wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence; Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself... (Psa 103:8-10; 2Cor 5:21; 1Pet 1:18-19; Eph 1:7-9)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding. For the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver, and the gain thereof than fine gold. The words of wise men are heard in quiet more than the cry of him that ruleth among fools. For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God. But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption: That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord. (Pro 3:13-14;Ecc 9:17; James 1:20, 3:17, 1;5; 1Cor 1:30-31)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

O sing unto the LORD a new song; for he hath done marvellous things: his right hand, and his holy arm, hath gotten him the victory. The LORD hath made known his salvation: his righteousness hath he openly shewed in the sight of the heathen. Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage. For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. (Psa 98:1-2; Heb 2:14-15; 2Tim 1:7; Rom 12:1-2)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

And now, what wait I for, Lord? my hope is in thee. Deliver me from all my transgressions; make me not the reproach of the foolish. I was dumb, I opened not my mouth; for thou hast done it. For the grace of God which carries with it salvation for all men has appeared, teaching us that, having denied impiety and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, and justly, and piously in the present course of things, awaiting the blessed hope and appearing of the glory of our great God and Saviour Jesus Christ; Because it is the God who spoke that out of darkness light should shine who has shone in our hearts for the shining forth of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ...having confidence of this very thing, that he who has begun in you a good work will complete it unto Jesus Christ's day: (Psa 39:7-9; Titus 2:11-13; 2Cor 4:6; Php 1:6)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches; loving favour rather than silver and gold. But surely I count also all things to be loss on account of the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, on account of whom I have suffered the loss of all, and count them to be filth, that I may gain Christ; and that I may be found in him, not having my righteousness, which would be on the principle of law, but that which is by faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God through faith, Brethren, I do not count to have got possession myself; but one thing--forgetting the things behind, and stretching out to the things before, I pursue, looking towards the goal, for the prize of the calling on high of God in Christ Jesus. For our momentary and light affliction works for us in surpassing measure an eternal weight of glory; while we look not at the things that are seen, but at the things that are not seen; for the things that are seen are for a time, but those that are not seen eternal. (Pro 22:1; Php 3:8-9, 13-14; 2Cor 4:17-18)

Today's Thought

Today's Thought:

One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in his temple. Give unto the LORD, O ye mighty, give unto the LORD glory and strength. Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name; worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness. But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. (Psa 27:4, 29:1-2; Heb 11:6; Col 3:1-2; Heb 12:2; Rom 5:1-2)

Today's Thought

Today's Thought:

What then shall we say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? Truly He who did not spare His own Son, but gave Him up on behalf of us all, how will He not freely give all things to us with Him? God is our refuge and strength, very much found to be a help in distresses. On account of this we will not fear when the earth changes and when mountains are slipping into the heart of the seas. Let its waters foam; let the mountains shake in its swelling. Selah. Little children, you are of God and have overcome them, because He in you is greater than he in the world. But if Christ is in you, the body indeed is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. But if the Spirit of the One having raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, the One having raised the Christ from the dead will also make your mortal bodies live through the indwelling of His Spirit in you...the mystery having been hidden from the ages and from the generations, but now was revealed to His saints; to whom God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the nations, who is Christ in you, the hope of glory. (Rom 8:31-32; Psa 46:1-3; 1John 4:4; Rom 8:10-11; Col 1:26-27)

Today's Thought

Today's Thought:

But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation. The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light. For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light: (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;) Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord. We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts: Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost. All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works. (1Thes 5:8; Rom 13:12; Eph 5:8-10; 2Pet 1:19-21; 2Tim 3:16-17)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

I am the True Vine, and My Father is the Vinedresser. Every branch in Me not bearing fruit, He takes it away; and each one bearing fruit, He prunes, so that it may bear more fruit. You are already pruned because of the Word which I have spoken to you. Remain in Me, and I in you. As the branch is not able to bear fruit of itself, unless it remain in the vine, so neither can you unless you remain in Me.” Then what you heard from the beginning, let it abide in you. If what you heard from the beginning abides in you, you will abide both in the Son and in the Father. But of Him, you are in Christ Jesus, who was made to us wisdom from God, both righteousness and sanctification and redemption...I have been crucified with Christ, and I live; yet no longer I, but Christ lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh, I live by faith toward the Son of God, the One loving me and giving Himself over on my behalf...so we the many are one body in Christ, and each one members of one another...And He is before all things, and all things have subsisted in Him. And He is the Head of the body, the assembly, who is the Beginning, the First-born out of the dead, that He be preeminent in all things; (John 15:1-4; 1John 2:24; 1Cor 1:30; Gal 2:20; Rom 12:5; Col 1:17-18)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

Therefore, we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, so also we should walk in newness of life. For if we have been joined together in the likeness of His death, so also shall we be in the resurrection, knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be nullified, so that we no longer serve sin. Therefore, brothers, I call on you through the compassions of God to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, pleasing to God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this age, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, in order to prove by you what is the good and pleasing and perfect will of God. Beloved, now we are the children of God, and it was not yet revealed what we shall be. But we know that if He is revealed, we shall be like Him, because we shall see Him as He is. And everyone having this hope on Him purifies himself even as that One is pure. (Rom 6:4-6, 12:1-2; 1John 3:2-3)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

The law of the LORD is perfect, reviving the soul; the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple; the precepts of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes; the fear of the LORD is clean, enduring forever; the rules of the LORD are true, and righteous altogether. For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope. If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him. (Psa 19:7-9; Rom 15:4; 1John 5:9; Col 3:16-17)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him. I will praise thee, O LORD, with my whole heart; I will shew forth all thy marvellous works. I will be glad and rejoice in thee: I will sing praise to thy name, O thou most High. O Lord, open thou my lips; and my mouth shall shew forth thy praise. For he that is mighty hath done to me great things; and holy is his name. Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen. (1Pet 5:6-7; Psa 28:, 9:1-2, 51:15; Luke 1:49; Eph 3:20-21)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

God is our refuge and strength, a help in distresses, very readily found. Therefore will we not fear though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the heart of the seas; Though the waters thereof roar and foam, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah. Be careful about nothing; but in everything, by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses every understanding, shall guard your hearts and your thoughts by Christ Jesus. Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that ye should abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. But our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and our God and Father, who has loved us, and given us eternal consolation and good hope by grace, encourage your hearts, and establish you in every good work and word. (Psa 46:1-3; Php 4:6-7; Rom 15:3; 2Thes 2:16-17)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I felt as a child, I reasoned as a child; when I became a man, I had done with what belonged to the child. Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord. As his divine power has given to us all things which relate to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that has called us by glory and virtue, and *he* has given some apostles, and some prophets, and some evangelists, and some shepherds and teachers, for the perfecting of the saints; with a view to the work of the ministry, with a view to the edifying of the body of Christ; until we all arrive at the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, at the full-grown man, at the measure of the stature of the fulness of the Christ; in order that we may be no longer babes, tossed and carried about by every wind of *that* teaching which is in the sleight of men, in unprincipled cunning with a view to systematized error; but, holding the truth in love, we may grow up to him in all things, who is the head, the Christ: Brethren, be not children in your minds, but in malice be babes; but in your minds be grown men . (1Cor 13:11; 2Pet 1:2-3; Eph 4:11-15; 1Cor 14:20)

Today's Thought

Today's Thought:

The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork. The heavens declare his righteousness, and all the people see his glory. For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: The earth is the LORD'S, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein. For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence. And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ: To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God... (Psa 19:1, 97:6; Rom 1:20; Psa 24:1; Col 1:16-18; Eph 3:9-10)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

For the word of the cross is to them that perish foolishness, but to us that are saved it is God's power...for righteousness of God is revealed therein, on the principle of faith, to faith: according as it is written, But the just shall live by faith. Therefore having been justified on the principle of faith, we have peace towards God through our Lord Jesus Christ; by whom we have also access by faith into this favour in which we stand, and we boast in hope of the glory of God. But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who has been made to us wisdom from God, and righteousness, and holiness, and redemption; But we all, looking on the glory of the Lord, with unveiled face, are transformed according to the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Lord the Spirit. So if any one be in Christ, there is a new creation; the old things have passed away; behold all things have become new: and all things are of the God who has reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and given to us the ministry of that reconciliation... (1Cor 1:18; Rom 1:17, 5:1-2; 1Cor 1:30; 2Cor 3:18, 5:17-18)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

Do not enter the path of the wicked, and do not go in the way of evildoers. Avoid it, do not pass by it; turn from it and pass on. He who heeds instruction is in the way of life, but he who refuses reproof is going astray. Forsake the foolish, and live, and go in the way of understanding. Do not be led astray; bad companionships ruin good habits. Then I, the prisoner in the Lord, exhort you to walk worthily of the calling in which you were called... Let no one deceive you with empty words, for through these things the wrath of God comes on the sons of disobedience. Then do not become partakers with them; for you then were darkness, but are now light in the Lord; walk as children of light. For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth, proving what is pleasing to the Lord. And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather even reprove them. (Pro 4:14-15, 10:17, 9:6; 1Cor 15:33; Eph 4:1, 5:6-11)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength: The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower. Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice. Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand. Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. (Isa 26:3-4; Psa 18:2; Rom 5:1-2; Php 4:4-7)
