Today's Thought

Today's Thought:

I will cleanse them from all the guilt of their sin against me, and I will forgive all the guilt of their sin and rebellion against me.” Blessed are those whose lawless deeds are forgiven, and whose sins are covered; blessed is the man against whom the Lord will not count his sin. All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation; that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation. For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed. In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace... (Jer 33:8; Rom 4:7-8; 2Cor 5:18-19, 21; 1Pet 2:24; Eph 1:7)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you. Trust in the LORD forever, for the LORD GOD is an everlasting rock. “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.” Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful. (Isa 26:3-4; John 14:27; Php 4:6-8; Col 3:15)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

The LORD of hosts has sworn: “As I have planned, so shall it be, and as I have purposed, so shall it stand... remember the former things of old; for I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like me, declaring the end from the beginning and from ancient times things not yet done, saying, 'My counsel shall stand, and I will accomplish all my purpose...'” And because of him you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, righteousness and sanctification and redemption... But we have this treasure in jars of clay, to show that the surpassing power belongs to God and not to us. In him we have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to the purpose of him who works all things according to the counsel of his will... What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things? (Isa 14:24, 46:9-10; 1Cor 1:30; Eph 1:11; Rom 8:31-32)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

Behold, the Lord GOD comes with might, and his arm rules for him; behold, his reward is with him, and his recompense before him. He will tend his flock like a shepherd; he will gather the lambs in his arms; he will carry them in his bosom, and gently lead those that are with young. “I am the good shepherd. I know my own and my own know me, just as the Father knows me and I know the Father; and I lay down my life for the sheep. My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father's hand. I and the Father are one.” Now may the God of peace who brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great shepherd of the sheep, by the blood of the eternal covenant, equip you with everything good that you may do his will, working in us that which is pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen. (Isa 40:10-11; John 10:14-15, 27-30; Heb 13:20-21)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

Let us know; let us press on to know the LORD; his going out is sure as the dawn; he will come to us as the showers, as the spring rains that water the earth." To the teaching and to the testimony! If they will not speak according to this word, it is because they have no dawn. But the path of the righteous is like the light of dawn, which shines brighter and brighter until full day. And we have the prophetic word more fully confirmed, to which you will do well to pay attention as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts, knowing this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture comes from someone's own interpretation. For God, who said, "Let light shine out of darkness," has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. (Hos 6:3; Isa 8:20; Pro 4:18;2Pet 1:19-20; 2Cor 4:6)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

But this I call to mind, and therefore I have hope: The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. "The LORD is my portion," says my soul, "therefore I will hope in him." Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful. Now may our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God our Father, who loved us and gave us eternal comfort and good hope through grace, comfort your hearts and establish them in every good work and word. Though you have not seen him, you love him. Though you do not now see him, you believe in him and rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory...May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope. (Lam 3:21-24; Heb 10:13; 2Thes 2:16-17; 1Pet 1:8; Rom 15:13)

Today's Thought

Today's Thought:

Ah, Lord GOD! It is you who have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and by your outstretched arm! Nothing is too hard for you. O LORD, you are my God; I will exalt you; I will praise your name, for you have done wonderful things, plans formed of old, faithful and sure. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places, even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him. In love he predestined us for adoption as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will, to the praise of his glorious grace, with which he has blessed us in the Beloved. This was according to the eternal purpose that he has realized in Christ Jesus our Lord, in whom we have boldness and access with confidence through our faith in him. (Jer 32:17; Isa 25:1; Eph 1:3-6, 3:11-12)

Today's Thought

Today's Thought:

Can you find out the deep things of God? Can you find out the limit of the Almighty? He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also, he has put eternity into man's heart, yet so that he cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end. Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments and how inscrutable his ways! But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved—and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, so that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. (Job 11:7; Ecc 3:11; Rom 11:33; Eph 2:4-7)

Today's Thought

Today's Thought:

He who made the Pleiades and Orion, and turns deep darkness into the morning and darkens the day into night, who calls for the waters of the sea and pours them out on the surface of the earth, the LORD is his name; “When the earth totters, and all its inhabitants, it is I who keep steady its pillars. Selah.” Long ago, at many times and in many ways, God spoke to our fathers by the prophets, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed the heir of all things, through whom also he created the world. He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power. After making purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high... Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you. (Amos 5:8; Psa 75:3; Heb 1:1-3; 1Pet 5:6-7)

Today's Thought

Today's Thought:

Whom have I in heaven but you? And there is nothing on earth that I desire besides you. My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day. For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal. But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body to be like his glorious body, by the power that enables him even to subject all things to himself. (Psa 73:25-26; 2Cor 4:16-18; Php 3:20-21)

Today's Thought

Today's Thought:

As for me, I would seek God, and to God would I commit my cause, who does great things and unsearchable, marvelous things without number: His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence, by which he has granted to us his precious and very great promises, so that through them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world because of sinful desire. And because of him you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, righteousness and sanctification and redemption, so that, as it is written, "Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord." (Job 5:8-9; 2Pet 1:3-4; 1Cor 1:30-31)

Today's Thought

Today's Thought:

For thus says the LORD, who created the heavens (he is God!), who formed the earth and made it (he established it; he did not create it empty, he formed it to be inhabited!): “I am the LORD, and there is no other. I made the earth and created man on it; it was my hands that stretched out the heavens, and I commanded all their host.” ...but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed the heir of all things, through whom also he created the world. By faith we understand that the universe was created by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things that are visible. For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him. And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together. (Isa 45:18, 12; Heb 1:2, 11:3; Col 1:16-17)

Today's Thought

Today's Thought:

Keep your heart with all vigilance, for from it flow the springs of life. Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil. Ponder the path of your feet; then all your ways will be sure. Now may our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God our Father, who loved us and gave us eternal comfort and good hope through grace, comfort your hearts and establish them in every good work and word....so that he may establish your hearts blameless in holiness before our God and Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus with all his saints. (Pro 4:23; Eph 5:15-16; Pro 4:26; 2Thes 2:16-17; 1Thes 3:13)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

Turn to me and be saved, all the ends of the earth! For I am God, and there is no other. For I will satisfy the weary soul, and every languishing soul I will replenish. Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. (Isa 45;22; Jer 31:25; Mat 11:28-30; 2Cor 1:3-4)

Today's Thought

Today's Thought:

The path of the righteous is level; you make level the way of the righteous. In the path of your judgments, O LORD, we wait for you; your name and remembrance are the desire of our soul. Be patient, therefore, brothers, until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, being patient about it, until it receives the early and the late rains. You also, be patient. Establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand. For in this hope we were saved. Now hope that is seen is not hope. For who hopes for what he sees? But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience. Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. (Isa 26:7-8; James 5:7-8; Rom 8:24-26)

Today's Thought

Today's Thought:

All these things my hand has made, and so all these things came to be, declares the LORD. But this is the one to whom I will look: he who is humble and contrite in spirit and trembles at my word. For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart. And no creature is hidden from his sight, but all are naked and exposed to the eyes of him to whom we must give account. Of his own will he brought us forth by the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures...since you have been born again, not of perishable seed but of imperishable, through the living and abiding word of God; Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you. (Isa 66:2; Heb 4:12-13; James 1:18; 1Pet 1:23, 5:6-7)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

Yours, O LORD, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty, for all that is in the heavens and in the earth is yours. Yours is the kingdom, O LORD, and you are exalted as head above all. All your works shall give thanks to you, O LORD, and all your saints shall bless you! They shall speak of the glory of your kingdom and tell of your power, to make known to the children of man your mighty deeds, and the glorious splendor of your kingdom. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places, even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him. In love he predestined us for adoption as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will... (1Chron 29:11; Psa 145:10-12; Eph 1:3-5)

Today's Thougth

 Today's Thought:

The LORD is good to those who wait for him, to the soul who seeks him. It is good that one should wait quietly for the salvation of the LORD. Therefore, preparing your minds for action, and being sober-minded, set your hope fully on the grace that will be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ. May the God of endurance and encouragement grant you to live in such harmony with one another, in accord with Christ Jesus, that together you may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Beloved, we are God's children now, and what we will be has not yet appeared; but we know that when he appears we shall be like him, because we shall see him as he is. (Lam 3:25-26; 1Pet 1:13; Rom 15:5-6; 1John 3:2)

Today's Thought

Today's Thought:

What man is there who desires life and loves many days, that he may see good? Keep your tongue from evil and your lips from speaking deceit. Turn away from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it. For we all stumble in many ways. And if anyone does not stumble in what he says, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle his whole body. Know this, my beloved brothers: let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger; for the anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God. Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear. Set a guard, O LORD, over my mouth; keep watch over the door of my lips! Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O LORD, my rock and my redeemer. (Psa 34:12-14; James 3:2, 1:19-20; Eph 4:29; Psa 141:3, 19:14)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

The counsel of the LORD stands forever, the plans of his heart to all generations. But he is unchangeable, and who can turn him back? What he desires, that he does. And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ...for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure. Now may the God of peace himself sanctify you completely, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. He who calls you is faithful; he will surely do it. Now to him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you blameless before the presence of his glory with great joy, to the only God, our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen. (Psa 33:11; Job 23:13; Php 1:6, 2:13; 1Thes 5:23-24; Jude 1:24-25)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned—every one—to his own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all...as it is written: "None is righteous, no, not one; no one understands; no one seeks for God. All have turned aside; together they have become worthless; no one does good, not even one." But when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that being justified by his grace we might become heirs according to the hope of eternal life. (Isa 53:6; Rom 3:10-12; Titus 3:4-7)

Today's Thought

Today's Thought:

I, I am he who blots out your transgressions for my own sake, and I will not remember your sins.” Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places, even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him. In love he predestined us for adoption as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will, to the praise of his glorious grace, with which he has blessed us in the Beloved. In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace... (Isa 43:25; Eph 1:3-7)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

Be strong, and let your heart take courage, all you who wait for the LORD! Strengthen the weak hands, and make firm the feeble knees. Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. May you be strengthened with all power, according to his glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy, giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in light. (Psa 31:24; Isa 35:3; Eph 6:10-13; Col 1:11-12)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

For the LORD gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding; he stores up sound wisdom for the upright; he is a shield to those who walk in integrity, guarding the paths of justice and watching over the way of his saints. Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change. If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him. But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. If we live by the Spirit, let us also keep in step with the Spirit. (Pro 2:6-8; James 1:17, 5; Gal 5:16, 25)

Today's Thought

Today's Thought:

I will greatly rejoice in the LORD; my soul shall exult in my God, for he has clothed me with the garments of salvation; he has covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decks himself like a priest with a beautiful headdress, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels. More than that, we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation. And because of him you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, righteousness and sanctification and redemption...For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. (Isa 61:10; Rom 5:11; 1Cor 1:30; Gal 3:27)

Today's Thought

Today's Thought:

It will be said on that day, "Behold, this is our God; we have waited for him, that he might save us. This is the LORD; we have waited for him; let us be glad and rejoice in his salvation." In this you rejoice, though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been grieved by various trials, so that the tested genuineness of your faith—more precious than gold that perishes though it is tested by fire—may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ. Though you have not seen him, you love him. Though you do not now see him, you believe in him and rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory... Now to him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you blameless before the presence of his glory with great joy, to the only God, our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen. (Isa 25:9; 1Pet 1:6-8; Jude 1:24-25)

"Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and will not be afraid; for the LORD GOD is my strength and my song, and he has become my salvation." The LORD is good to those who wait for him, to the soul who seeks him. It is good that one should wait quietly for the salvation of the LORD. For God, who said, "Let light shine out of darkness," has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

You are my witnesses,” declares the LORD, “and my servant whom I have chosen, that you may know and believe me and understand that I am he. Before me no god was formed, nor shall there be any after me. I, I am the LORD, and besides me there is no savior.” And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know him who is true; and we are in him who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life. For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people, training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age, waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ. (Isa 43:10-11; 1John 5:20; Titus 2:11-13)

Today's Thought -- May 1, 2022

 Today's Thought:

Yours, O LORD, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty, for all that is in the heavens and in the earth is yours. Yours is the kingdom, O LORD, and you are exalted as head above all. By the word of the LORD the heavens were made, and by the breath of his mouth all their host. But by the same word the heavens and earth that now exist are stored up for fire, being kept until the day of judgment and destruction of the ungodly. But since we belong to the day, let us be sober, having put on the breastplate of faith and love, and for a helmet the hope of salvation. For God has not destined us for wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us so that whether we are awake or asleep we might live with him. (1Chron 29:11; Psa 33:6; 2Pet 3:7; 1Thes 5:8-10)

Today's Thought

Today's Thought -- A daily Scripture medley will provide seeds for meditation, spirit food for the hungry believer, and perhaps a light of hope in a dark world. Check in daily, and may God bless the reading of His truth. Let His Spirit apply the truth of His Word to your heart and life.
