As for me, I would seek God, and to God would I commit my cause, who does great things and unsearchable, marvelous things without number: His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence, by which he has granted to us his precious and very great promises, so that through them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world because of sinful desire. And because of him you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, righteousness and sanctification and redemption, so that, as it is written, "Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord." (Job 5:8-9; 2Pet 1:3-4; 1Cor 1:30-31)
