Let us know; let us press on to know the LORD; his going out is sure as the dawn; he will come to us as the showers, as the spring rains that water the earth." To the teaching and to the testimony! If they will not speak according to this word, it is because they have no dawn. But the path of the righteous is like the light of dawn, which shines brighter and brighter until full day. And we have the prophetic word more fully confirmed, to which you will do well to pay attention as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts, knowing this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture comes from someone's own interpretation. For God, who said, "Let light shine out of darkness," has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. (Hos 6:3; Isa 8:20; Pro 4:18;2Pet 1:19-20; 2Cor 4:6)
