But now the righteousness of God has been manifested apart from the law, although the Law and the Prophets bear witness to it— the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe. For there is no distinction: for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, Now the law came in to increase the trespass, but where sin increased, grace abounded all the more, so that, as sin reigned in death, grace also might reign through righteousness leading to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. But the Scripture imprisoned everything under sin, so that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe. For all the promises of God find their Yes in him. That is why it is through him that we utter our Amen to God for his glory. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. (Rom 3:21-24, 5:20-21; Gal 3:22; 2Cor 1:20; Heb 13:8)
