In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities. For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him. As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us. For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him, having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will.
