Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God; For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time. I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot. ( Col 1:9-10; 1Tim 2:5-6; Eph 4:1; Heb 12:2; 1Pet 1:18-19)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; yea, I have a goodly heritage. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. (Psa 16:6; 1Pet 1:3-5; Eph 1:4-6)

Today's Thought

 Today' s Thought:

O satisfy us early with thy mercy; that we may rejoice and be glad all our days. O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is; To see thy power and thy glory, so as I have seen thee in the sanctuary. Because thy lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee. And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.  As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name. (Psa 90:14, 63:1-3; 1John 5:11; Col 2:6, 1:12-13; Heb 13: 15)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

“Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.” God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; The LORD is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Therefore, my brethren dearly beloved and longed for, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, my dearly beloved. (Isa 41:10; Psa 46:1-2, 145:18; Eph 6:13; Php 4:1)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

“Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.” And such trust have we through Christ to God-ward: Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God; For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure. Who shall also confirm you unto the end, that ye may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord. (John 15:4; 2Cor 3:4-5; Php 2:13; 1Cor 1:8-9)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

Unless the LORD had been my help, my soul had almost dwelt in silence. When I said, My foot slippeth; thy mercy, O LORD, held me up. In the multitude of my thoughts within me thy comforts delight my soul. Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God. Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God, even our Father, which hath loved us, and hath given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace, Comfort your hearts, and stablish you in every good word and work. (Psa 94:17-19; 2Cor 1:3-4; 1Thes 2:16-17)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

Jesus saith.., I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him. Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life. Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another. (John 14:6; Mat 11:27-30; John 6:63; Rom 14:19)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. In whose hand is the soul of every living thing, and the breath of all mankind. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. (Eph 2:4-6; Col 1:15-17; Job 12:10; Heb 4:16)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. He must increase, but I must decrease. He that cometh from above is above all: he that is of the earth is earthly, and speaketh of the earth: he that cometh from heaven is above all. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly. But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord. (1John 4:9; John 3:30-31; Php 2:9-11; 1Cor 15:49; 2Cor 3:18)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ, having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself: But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. (2Cor 4:6; Eph 1:9; 1Tim 1:10; John 3:16-18)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

Praise ye the LORD. Praise, O ye servants of the LORD, praise the name of the LORD. Blessed be the name of the LORD from this time forth and for evermore. Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honour and power everlasting. Amen. Honour and majesty are before him: strength and beauty are in his sanctuary. Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures. Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever. Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name; worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness. (Psa 113:1-2; 1Tim 6:16; Psa 96:6; James 1:18; 1Pet 1:23; Psa 29:2)

Oh how great is thy goodness, which thou hast laid up for them that fear thee; which thou hast wrought for them that trust in thee before the sons of men! O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the LORD our maker. Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

Thou shalt guide me with thy counsel, and afterward receive me to glory. As for me, I will behold thy face in righteousness: I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with thy likeness. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. Wherefore comfort one another with these words. (Psa 73:24, 17:15; 1Thes 4:15-17; 1John 3:2; 1Thes 4:18)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe. If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory. Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil. (Psa 91:1-2; Pro 18:10; Col 3:1-2, 4; Heb 6:19)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities. For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him. As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us. But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption: In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace. (5:18-19; Psa 103:10-12; 1Cor 1:30; Eph 1:7)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

It is a good thing to give thanks unto the LORD, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High: To shew forth thy lovingkindness in the morning, and thy faithfulness every night. Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God. By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name. Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice. Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand. Let your speech be alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man. (Psa 92:1-2; 2Cor 5:20; Heb 13:15; Php 4:4-5; Col 4:6)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men! For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations. But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. (Psa 107:8, 100:5; John 3:16-18; 1Cor 2:9)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever. Better is an handful with quietness, than both the hands full with travail and vexation of spirit. Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength. (Rom 5:1; 2Cor 5:21; Isa 32:17; Ecc 4:6; Isa 26:3-4)

Today's Thought

 Today's Thought:

But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost, Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage. Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness. For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness. What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death. But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life. (Jude 1:20-21; Gal 5:1; Rom 6:18, 21-22)
