But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light. For God, who said, "Let light shine out of darkness," has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ... Jesus answered... “If anyone loves me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him.” So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him. How precious is your steadfast love, O God! The children of mankind take refuge in the shadow of your wings. They feast on the abundance of your house, and you give them drink from the river of your delights. For with you is the fountain of life; in your light do we see light.
