And he said to man, “Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom, and to turn away from evil is understanding.” The end of the matter; all has been heard. Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole duty of man. And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. For God has not destined us for wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us so that whether we are awake or asleep we might live with him. Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing. For none of us lives to himself, and none of us dies to himself. For if we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord. So then, whether we live or whether we die, we are the Lord's. Finally, then, brothers, we ask and urge you in the Lord Jesus, that as you received from us how you ought to walk and to please God, just as you are doing, that you do so more and more.
