Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ, from whom the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love. For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. The aim of our charge is love that issues from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith. For as in one body we have many members, and the members do not all have the same function, so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another. Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor. (Eph 4:15-16; Gal 5:13; 1Tim 1:5; Rom 12:4-5, 10)
