Of his own will he brought us forth by the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures...since you have been born again, not of perishable seed but of imperishable, through the living and abiding word of God; So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ. Is not my word like fire, declares the LORD, and like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces? All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work. Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth. This also comes from the LORD of hosts; he is wonderful in counsel and excellent in wisdom. (James 1:18; 1Pet 1:23; Rom 10:17; Jer 23:29; 2Tim 3:16-17, 2:15; Isa 28:29)
