Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified. But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe. According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come. (Rom 5:1; Gal 2:16, 3:22; 2Pet 1:3-4; 1Tim 4;8)
