How much better to get wisdom than gold! To get understanding is to be chosen rather than silver. So teach us to number our days that we may get a heart of wisdom. Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is. His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence, by which he has granted to us his precious and very great promises, so that through them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world because of sinful desire. I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called. (Pro 16:16; Psa 90:12; Eph 5:15-17; 2Pet 1:3-4; Eph 4:1)
