To the teaching and to the testimony! If they will not speak according to this word, it is because they have no dawn. The law of the LORD is perfect, reviving the soul; the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple; the precepts of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes; the fear of the LORD is clean, enduring forever; the rules of the LORD are true, and righteous altogether. But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have firmly believed, knowing from whom you learned it and how from childhood you have been acquainted with the sacred writings, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. Like newborn infants, long for the pure spiritual milk, that by it you may grow up into salvation. (Isa 8:20; Psa 19:7-9; 2Tim 3:14-15; 1Pet 2:2)
